The shredded paper is down-cycled from their office & they re-use packing materials when possible. The treats are minimally packaged using only "Made In The USA" materials. Even the boxes used are from their hometown!

The great people at 240Sweet sent me a box of puffs from the January Marshmallow Of The Month selection to try. This month the flavors are Peanut Butter Banana, Caramel Chocolate Chip, and Year of the Dragon Crunch. Of course I squealed when I opened the box and discovered the awesome flavors.

The first one I had to try was the Peanut Butter Banana. I immediately thought of Elvis, which is funny because apparently The King was their inspiration! It is a banana flavored puff filled with crunchy peanut butter swirls and finished with banana crunch dust. Divine! It's truly like eating a banana with peanut butter on top!

Next, I sampled the Caramel Chocolate Chip which is a caramel puff topped with tasty chocolate chips. I bet this marshmallow would be amazing in a s'more! I ate mine straight from the package, and yes, it is as good as it sounds.

I saved the most adventurous marshmallow for last. The Year Of The Dragon Crunch marshmallow intimidated me a little bit. I was curious to try, but afraid my picky taste buds would not be up to the challenge. This one is a red bean-swirled vanilla marshmallow topped with a red bean pate de fruit & toasted sesame seeds. I admit I had to Google what 'red bean pate de fruit' was before I decided to try it. Pate de fruits is French for fruit paste and red beans are called Azuki beans which originate in China. So much thought must have gone into the creation of this marshmallow! I appreciate the blending of cultures to make this creative treat. I tried it....and it was awesome! So many different elements...the fluff, the sweet, the crunch!

Did you all have a good weekend? I didn't do much - the usual house cleaning, laundry, etc. on Saturday but on Sunday The Boy and I went to lunch at Ruby Tuesday, browsed the mall and then went to see Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. Since I've started my diet, I have to really look at menu items as far as the calorie count goes. I ended up getting the Chicken Fresco which is a grilled chicken breast with lemon butter & balsamic vinaigrette topped with fresh tomatoes as well as a side of broccoli. The whole meal was incredibly delicious and under 450 calories. Woot! I do suggest seeing the new Sherlock Holmes movie, too. I may be partial because I loves me some RDJ, but I thought it was a good movie.

WOW, you guys. Seriously....just W.O.W. --- During the whole entire phantasmagorical event that was The 12 Days of Gifts Galore...I was just soooooo sick. I had laryngitis (with a little bronchitis thrown in for good measure), fevers, aches, weakness - basically, the works, ya'll. Since I was sick, I did like *zero* promotion. My BeSpoken Jewelry Ring

My Dear Friends,

I just wanted to share the ring that Gretchen Baneyx of BeSpoken Jewelry made for me. I'm completely in love with it - I wear it every day. Gretchen is just so enormously talented, you've got to check out her shop. I know you'll find something (or many things!) that you like!

My ring is from her collection of Stacking Silver & Gemstone Rings. Mine is actually a set of three rings - all recycled sterling silver bands. Each ring has a different feature to it; one has an ocean-colored swiss blue topaz, one has a perfect silver sphere, and one has a lovely green peridot. Gretchen, for lack of a better word, totally got 'me'. I am a blues & greens kind of girl so my rings are completely perfect!

Here are the specifics:
6mm Swiss Blue topaz.
4mm peridot.
3 mm fine silver.

When five rings are stacked together they are just over 1/4" (approx 7mm) wide at the band and 3/8” wide at the stones (depending on their arrangement). My ring is a size 8, but Gretchen can make any size from 5-9, including half sizes and has a large variety of gemstones to choose from.

Made to order rings usually take about 3-4 days before shipping after payment is received and cleared. Each one is handmade by Gretchen so please expect very slight variations from the picture. Your item(s) will be lovingly packaged in a gorgeous style that is all her own.
